Sample input is AI-generated; the result was processed by the named FAL model.
The actual comparison
One submitted input. Two independent model calls. Pick a model to inspect the real result.

The source is original synthetic artwork. Inputs were downsampled and lightly compressed before submission; every after is the named fal endpoint’s real output. No CSS blur or separately generated after is used.

- Real ingredient count
- Portion and plate geometry
- Texture without artificial gloss
Improve the photo, not the dish
Start with a clean, well-lit photograph of the portion customers receive. Keep food styling, ingredients and garnish accurate to what is sold.
These image endpoints do not accept a text Prompt to add salmon, remove an allergen or change a plate. A plausible-looking added ingredient is still inaccurate advertising.
Inspect appetizing detail
Compare SeedVR2 noise 0 against Crystal creativity 0 at the same scale. Judge whether the result is clearer and still believable, not simply more saturated.
- Count slices, garnish and visible ingredients.
- Check fish, rice and sauce texture at 100%.
- Watch plates and cutlery for bent geometry.
- Compare highlights for a plastic or over-glossy look.
Export for the actual menu
A delivery-app listing, a printed menu and a hero image have different pixel requirements. Quote the output you need rather than blindly choosing the largest possible factor.
If a printed menu contains prices or allergens, use the original text file. Image reconstruction does not validate or recover menu text.
Retain the source of truth
Keep the original photograph for review. If the model changes the portion or creates an ingredient, reject that result and try a more restrained version or retake the photo.
The salmon sample is original synthetic test material. Its real fal outputs demonstrate processing behavior, not the food quality of any restaurant.
Questions before you process
Does this generate a new dish?
No. It enhances an uploaded still image with numeric controls. It does not support text prompts or ingredient edits.
Can it restore menu prices or allergens?
Do not rely on AI for that. Recreate text from the verified source, and check every price and allergen independently.
Can I try a food photo for free?
Yes. One SeedVR2 preview up to 720 px is available without signup, with browser/account and daily network limits.
